Pre-K Program (4–5 years)
Way To Grow Programs
Pre-K in Rhode Island That Prepares Your Child for Kindergarten Success
As your child gets closer to kindergarten, the stakes feel higher.
You want to know they’re truly ready—not just academically, but socially and emotionally too. You want them to feel confident walking into their first day of school, not overwhelmed or behind.
At Way To Grow Early Learning Center, our Pre-K program is designed to help your child build the skills, confidence, and independence they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.
Helping Your Child Feel Ready and Confident
At this stage, children are capable of so much—and they know it.
Our Pre-K program supports your child’s growth by encouraging independent thinking and problem-solving, clear communication and self-expression & positive social interactions and teamwork

A Strong Focus on Kindergarten Readiness
You don’t want your child to just get by in kindergarten—you want them to thrive.
Our curriculum is designed around school readiness, helping your child build essential skills in:
- Early reading and phonics
- Writing letters, words, and simple sentences
- Foundational math concepts like counting, patterns, and problem-solving
- Listening, following directions, and classroom routines
We align our program with state standards to ensure your child is fully prepared for the transition to kindergarten.
Children at this age benefit from a more structured routine that mirrors a kindergarten classroom, while still allowing time for creativity and movement.
A typical day may include morning circle time, focused learning activities in math and literacy, storytelling, music and movement, and outdoor play. Time is also set aside for meals and quiet rest.
This consistent structure helps your child build the habits and confidence they’ll need in school.
We believe learning should be engaging, meaningful, and hands-on.
Throughout the year, your child will participate in activities that strengthen their ability to think, communicate, and express themselves. They’ll create journals, drawings, and early writing pieces that help build both academic and creative skills.
These experiences not only prepare your child for school but also help them develop a love of learning.
As a parent, you want to know your child is on track.
We provide regular updates through daily communication, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences. This allows you to see how your child is developing and feel confident in their readiness for kindergarten.
Your child’s safety and well-being are always our priority. Our experienced teachers create a classroom environment where children feel secure, respected, and encouraged.
